The very first building to receive the highest LEED certification (Platinum), the Aldo Leopold Foundation Headquarters in Fairfield, Wisconsin is fully carbon neutral - that's zero footprint.
The building uses a solar electric system, and an advanced radiant system installed within the concrete floors that controls temperature. Those, along with some clever design that makes use of sunlight and cross ventilation, contribute to the center producing 15% more energy than what it consumes. Pretty impressive.
