New York Street Advertising Takeover
On Saturday in NYC, 120 illegal billboards were white washed and then transformed into pieces of art by over 80 local artists. The billboards were making use of space not registered with the city, and therefore not legal - however, politics and paperwork have allowed them to continue to exist. The guerilla style project organized by Jordan Seiler was an effort to take back the urban landscape.
