Not the first time Tokyo Flash has caught my eye with a unique watch, but the Oberon might be my favorite of their collection. Simple, elegant, sexy. The outer ring of lights signify the hour; the middle ring, single minutes; the inner ring, minutes x10. 8:13 shown here.
This year the tree in Rockefeller Center in NYC will be illuminated by 30,000 LED lights, resulting in a pretty sizable reduction in energy consumption - about enough total to sustain a family in a 2,000 sq ft home for a month. In addition, the tree will pull it's electricity from a 363-panel solar energy roof. The tree was even cut with a hand-held saw (not electric), the area it was cut from is being replanted, and after the holidays the tree will be made into lumber to be used by Habitat for Humanity. Impressive.
