I don't really know what to say except that this is almost entirely ridiculous. No, actually this pretty much is entirely ridiculous. Besides the fact that replacing a cord with two pieces of clunky hardware (each with their own, um, cord) isn't really a super-duper trade-off, I think only when daily life resembles Futurama a bit more will I be OK with beaming microwaves around/through my body on a regular basis.
Elle & Wired go green - both publications will use recycled paper for their May 2006 issues - a huge step toward entertainment media embracing sustainability. Vanity Fair planned to do the same, but (supposedly because of time issues) decided against it. Their May issue will still feature environmental articles, but will be made from good 'ol fresh cut timber.
Searchscapes builds a 3D interactive space of Manhattan out of words that represent the spaces they physically portray.
I totally dig this project, although I'd like to see it live - pulling content from connected users or live data, for example - or have the opportunity for users to build their own representation as the project concept outlines. Still pretty cool.
